Aspiring Principals Workshop to be held January 25, 2010

November 10, 2009

Previewing the Principalship is an awareness workshop for individuals interested in learning more about the principalship.  The materials for this workshop were developed by the National Association of Elementary School Principals for use by the state offices with the assistance of exemplary Missouri principals.

The primary purpose of this workshop is to assist in the identification and encouragement of talented individuals to enter the principalship and to provide aspiring principals with an awareness of the comprehensive dimensions and unique characteristics of the principalship.

Workshop participants explore the peaks and valleys of day-to-day life as a principal, examine and affirm their own professional talents and interests, and develop a vision and create a map for their professional career planning.  Small group interaction also provides an opportunity to explore actual principalship situations and problems and to review methods for handling those that are difficult.  The workshop provides a chance for significant participant involvement under the direction of a dynamic facilitator .

You will find Previewing the Principalship well worth your time and effort if you are interested in learning more about the principalship and career opportunities in educational administration.
